Instructions on modifying a single rule or a group of rules.
Instead of creating a new rule or group of rules, you can modify an existing one. In this example, the Network Rule 11 response setting is to 'Do Nothing' when triggered. We want to change the response to Suspend the triggering activity. To do this, follow these steps.
- Select the rule to be modified from the Policy Rules page (Rule 11). Notice that the Response Type is Do Nothing.
- Under the Actions drop-down menu, select Modify Rule.
- Selecting Modify Rule brings up the Modify Policy Rule screen. From the SETTING drop-down menu, select Response Type.
- From the RESPONSE TYPE menu, select SUSPEND.
- Select Submit to complete the rule modification.
- To verify that the modification has been made, select Rule 11 and see that the Response Type has changed from Do Nothing to Suspend.
To modify a group of rules, select the rules to be modified, then follow steps 2 through 6.
