How to Reset Passwords

The process of a ZeroLock® Management Console Administrator resetting a User’s password.

For a ZeroLock Management Console (ZMC) administrator to reset a User’s password the process is as follows:

On the ZMC dashboard, navigate to Manage Users | Users. Select the user that is to have their password reset.

From the ACTIONS drop-down menu select RESET PASSWORD.

The RESET PASSWORD modal will appear. Click RESET PASSWORD.

The modal will change reflecting the User’s email and their temporary password.

Placing the cursor over the temporary password will enable it to be copied. Click on the copy icon Copy, as the temporary password will be required on the user’s first login. Remember to provide the user with the temporary password.

Notice that the status of the user has changed from Active to Pending . It will return to Active on a successful login with their new password.
