How to Unlock a User Account
After six (6) unsuccessful login attempts, the User’s account will be locked.
After six (6) unsuccessful login attempts, the User’s account will be locked. The account will automatically unlock after a 5-minute timeout limit is reached or if unlocked by a user with User management privileges.
To manually unlock an account, execute the following steps as a user with the User management permissions:
- From the ZeroLock® Management Console (ZMC) dashboard, go to Manage Users | Users.
- Select the locked account by checking the box next to the ID number.
- From the ACTIONS drop-down menu, select UNLOCK USER.
- Selecting Unlock User replaces the current screen with a message block requesting confirmation.
- Once confirmed the account is immediately unlocked.
You have successfully unlocked a user account.
